PETALING JAYA, 9TH NOVEMBER 2022 – One-stop electronics and tech retail company, Ximple has announced their latest ECF campaign under Fundnel with the goal to raise over RM 5 Million for their ambitious trajectory next year. Initially based in Singapore, Ximple has found itself expanding into the Malaysian market early this year.

.

Most recently, Ximple has established a partnership in Odisha, India with two partners to support their expansion to the country with Ximple India. With this ECF campaign through Fundnel, the tech enterprise hopes to further optimize its membership program, Xircle, to fully cater to their dedicated members with comprehensive offerings of sustainable electronic products and emphasise their Shop, Own, and Dispose of ethos.

.

Commenting on this, Wong Wai Jeat, Founder and CEO of Ximple shares, β€œThe idea I had when developing Ximple was to tackle e-waste and how people consume home appliances. E-waste has become such a global concern that I believe there is a need to find solutions to nurture sustainability and have ESG implemented in our daily consumption of technology. With this first stage of the funding round, Ximple will look into keeping that promise by choosing to elevate and find solutions to provide members with e-sustainable solutions to improve and ease their livelihood.”

.

Malaysia produces an estimated 356,000 tonnes of e-waste annually. The amount could mount up and lead to detrimental effects on the country’s environmental well-being if the situation is left unattended and unmanaged. Believing that it is never too late to create ESG practices in electronics consumption, Ximple looks to make recycling tech devices, home appliances, and electronics easier for the public with their all-in-one application – where users not only have access to shop numerous electronics and tech products but to also have the option to dispose of them in a sustainable fashion.

.
With Ximple’s Shop, Own and Dispose of ethos, the tech company is looking to further raise e-sustainability awareness amongst Malaysians, and one day nurture a society that embraces a greener environment free of e-waste. As a pioneering tech-centric platform focusing on a fully circular business model, Ximple is a one-stop platform for the sustainable consumption of electronics.

.

Designed for an all-around user experience, the app enables consumers to purchase electronic products at discounted prices. At the same time, the app promotes the β€œsell, donate or recycle” option for products at the end of their life cycles. Ximple also offers other unique features such as e-warranty and social shopping tools allowing users to interact with merchants. To date, the platform has gained encouraging traction of 55,000 visitors every month and displayed over 1,400 brands offering more than 77,000 products.

Following the completion of the ECF campaign, Ximple will focus on pushing out their upcoming mobile application known as Ximple Home – an all-encompassing application that includes a software to manage all smart electronics and devices in one’s home.

Designed to redefine how tech users and homeowners operate their daily consumption of electronics and appliances at home or the office, Ximple Home will act as an all-in- one remote control that will provide users convenience and simplicity to manage their devices and appliances in any space.

.

Commenting on this, Jack Lee Sek Hor, MY Director of Ximple shares, β€œThe idea of creating Ximple Home is to unify all appliances into one app and provide Ximple’s customers easy control and management to all electronic devices, ranging from a simple fan to your kitchen oven. Our goal with this mobile app is to accelerate one’s productivity without having to sacrifice time. As we know, it takes manpower to turn these appliances on and off, leading to people forgetting to save electricity. With Ximple Home, we hope to not only embrace our sustainability efforts by reducing e-waste, but to also nurture smarter usage of home appliances.”

.

Ximple Home is slated to be officially launched in early 2023 and the company also has goals to attract more downloads compared to its brother app, the Ximple app which has garnered over 10,000 downloads since its launch in 2017.

.

Established in early 2017 by Wong Wai Jeat, Ximple has been operating in Singapore and slowly expanding its influence with its β€œLive Smart, Live Ximple” mantra outside the country. This year, Ximple took the big leap by expanding to Malaysia and most recently, the tech enterprise has established a partnership in Odisha, India with two partners to support their expansion to the country with Ximple India. With its mission to promote sustainability and counter e-waste, Ximple aims to continue pushing to embrace a greener practice of tech and electronics consumption with its Shop, Own and Dispose model.
